In Japan, summer is the season of ghosts.
This is Ming-Wu in FF2(j) .
He sacrificed his life to unseal Ultima but Ultima was so poor magic. (Perhaps you know it's poor in "FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN" too, but it's terrible poor in the original NES ver!) Since then his name sometimes means "wasting life" among the old FF fans.
But he is the main character in the additional story of FF2 GameBoyAdvance ver. Then his soul will rest in peace. :-)
